Our hurling community continues to grow from strength to strength, with over 80 registered members proudly representing East Belfast GAA across our senior and reserve squads. This rapid expansion reflects the dedication of our players, coaches, and volunteers who are helping to build this vibrant and ambitious hurling programme.
Our Senior Hurlers currently compete in the Down Division 2 League and the Down Junior Hurling Championship, with a clear long‑term goal of returning to Division 1. The squad has made significant progress in recent seasons and continues to push standards on and off the pitch as they compete against strong opposition throughout the county.
Our Reserve Hurlers compete in the South Antrim League and Championship, providing valuable game time and development opportunities for newer players, returning hurlers, and those progressing toward the senior setup. This squad is an essential part of sustaining depth and nurturing future talent within the club.
A major milestone came in 2023, when our Senior Hurlers reached the Down Junior Hurling Championship Final for the first time in the club’s history. Although the team were defeated on the day, the achievement marked a significant step forward and showcased the potential and determination within the squad. The experience has only strengthened the team’s ambition to go one step further in the seasons ahead.
